Microsoft Security Update
This alert is to provide you with an overview of the new security bulletin released by Microsoft on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. This security update resolves a publicly disclosed vulnerability in Internet Explorer and was released outside of the usual monthly security bulletin release cycle in an effort to protect customers.  Computer Zone will take care of any necessary updates on your server(s), however, individual workstations need to be updated separately.

You have 2 options regarding this update:
1. If you would like for Computer Zone to take care of these updates for you, please be sure to leave your workstations on when you leave the office on Friday and we will run the automatic updates remotely for you over the weekend.

2. If you would like to execute these updates now, please use the links below:
·     If you are running Internet Explorer 6 - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=1d83e0af-46fa-4bfc-ba57-635435a7ef2d&displaylang=en

Please notify your employees of which option you have chosen in order for the updates to be properly performed.

*NOTE* If you are unsure of which Internet Explorer version you are running, follow these steps:
·         In your internet browser, click on “Help” at the top of the page ·
·        Click on “About Internet Explorer”
·         When the box pops up, you will then be able to see which version you are running.

If you need any assistance with performing these updates or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
